Email message from Todd Anglin regarding the iPads for Nursing Homes Project
Dear Castro Valley Rotarians:

I hope you enjoyed tonight's speaker!  I also hope I was able to convey the need and impact of the iPad project for our seniors in need living in senior homes throughout Castro Valley.  Our goal is to raise money to purchase roughly 35 iPads so they can communicate with their family and loved ones, especially during Covid-19 explosions clustering in these homes and preventing regular visits.

With these iPads, they can video chat with FaceTime or Google Hangouts, watch movies with friends, and do so much more.  We believe $5,000 would get us the bare minimum 35 units with older technology, and anything above that goes towards newer units with a longer EOL.  We are partnering with the ombudsman for Alameda County & Contra Costa on this project to make a quick positive impact.

Carol  Bigelow spoke with passion today about this project and generously donated several thousand dollars, while sharing it was ok to let everybody know the need to add so much to these homes.  Eden Hospital also chipped in for this great project, and we really could use a check from anybody who would like to help, no matter how much you can afford to add to this cause!  Please contact me with any questions or for further information.

Checks can be written to "Castro Valley Rotary Club" and mailed to our treasurer, Michaela Thompson at 5142 Parkridge Dr. Oakland CA 94619.

Every dollar helps--we greatly appreciate you supporting this cause!!

Warm Regards, and stay healthy, safe, and sane :)

Todd
