2023 Richard D. King Youth Speech Contest
Castro Valley and Redwood Christian High School students will participate.
Club Level: Completed by March 24, 2023
Each of the sixty-two clubs in Rotary International District 5170 is eligible to hold a speech contest drawing contestants from private and public high schools. At each club, the first-place winner is selected to participate in the Area Level competition.
Area Level: March 27 - April 7, 2023
Within the District, Clubs are grouped into nine Areas, with one to nine Clubs in each area. Every Club Level winner will compete with the winners from the other clubs in that Area. The first-place winner will be selected to participate in the Regional Level competition.
Regional Level: April 10 - April 21, 2023
The District sponsors two Regional competitions. The two regions are the North Region (Areas 1 through 5) and the South Region (Areas 6 through 10). The first and second-place winners from each Regional Competition will go to the final competition at the District Level. The Regional Level Contests will be held between April 10 - April 21, 2023, at a designated Rotary Club.
District Level (Finals): April 29, 2023
The District Finals will be held during the 2023 District 5170 Conference. Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.
Prizes are awarded to top participants at all levels.
