VISITORS - We had an abundant number of guests today (but your Scribe did not get them all): Owen McGrath (Bruce Johnson), John Barbieri, Brad Kitsen (Randy Vanderbilt), Peter Rosen (Steve Ontiveros), Duane Degner (Virginia Degner), and Douglas White (Billy Casper Golf) and Bob Geppert (Regional Manager Billy Casper Golf).
PROGRAM - Our sixth program of President Dr. Heidi’s year was . . .  Jim O'Connor, East Bay Regional Parks, and Steve Falcone, Willow Park Golf Club: Informational Meeting on Willow Park.
Very informational presentations by both men, questions were asked, concerns expressed regarding process and time line.  Whether or not the final award for development is made, the golf course, along with bar and snack bar will be kept open.  It is estimated that it will take close to $2.5M to bring the golf course back to what it was and what will be a return to its hey-day . . . the arrangement, by law, can only be for twenty-five years.  Please visit http://willowparkgolfclub.org/ for the latest in the lease information and other details.

President Dr. Heidi brought down the gavel for the fifth time of her Presidential Year at Don Jose’s in Castro Valley, and Bonnie Best was asked to lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

THOUGHT(s) FOR THE DAY - From Bruce Johnson honoring Dr. Heidi and Dr. Jerry: From Psalm 81:10 English Standard Version (ESV): I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.      Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

SINGING WITH CETA - Hillary Duff sang it.  Maroon 5 sang it.  But today we were blessed to have Mathilde sing to us in German “Wake Up Wake Up” (Note from Scribe: Not sure if they were the same song as Mrs. Schmidt sang in German . . . when she said “All together now” the place erupted in joy . . . - GOOD ONE!)

WHAT’S HAPPENING WITHIN CASTRO VALLEY ROTARY AND IN CASTRO VALLEY?
For some of the absolute best pictures of our activities, please thank Gary Bosley for his hard work as he has captured many of our events for us.
•    The FESCO pix are at fesco.shutterfly.com . . .
•    The chilicook off shots are at ChiliCookOff2014.shutterfly.com . . .
•    The Eden photos are at edenwaterfall.shutterfly.com . . .
the great thing is that no special access is required on either site -- people just go to the URL (or cut and paste them in in search box) and click on one of the small photos.  The photos enlarge.  Thanks, Gary!
Also, please remember to visit www.castrovalleyrotary.org often and also www.rowellranchrodeoparade.com as these websites that we maintain and are packed with information and lots of pictures

Thanks to the East Bay Park’s responsiveness to us . . . also spotted at the meeting was Castro Valley’s representative on the East Bay Park Board, Carol Severin (a faithful parade participant!).
LOOKING FOR THE MOLAR WITH THE GOLD GLITTER FILLING DONE “JUST FOR US” BY DR. HEIDI - With the $70 and 14 molars in the bag, Randy Vanderbilt (again) reached into the bag searching for the white molar free from decay with golden sprinkles and won . . . $5.00 for pulling a white tooth free of decay but lacking golden sprinkles!  Had Randy pulled out a decayed tooth, he would have had to pay $5.00!
