Nancy O’Malley is the chief law enforcement officer in Alameda County. Since joining the office as an attorney in 1984, O’Malley rose through the ranks to become Chief Assistant District Attorney from 1999 until her appointment to District Attorney in 2009. Subsequently, she was elected to the position in November 2010, 2014 and 2018.
