Business developments in San Leandro

Katie Bowman, Economic Development Manager will provide an update on all the development planned and happening in San Leandro.  Over the past several years, construction and development have been at an all-time high in San Leandro.  Across the city, there are over 700 new housing units, 350,000 square feet of new or renovated office, and over 2 million square feet of new industrial complete or in the works.  Downtown San Leandro is lively with new restaurants and new development planned and the groundwork is being laid for transformation of the Bayfair Mall area into a mixed-use transit village over time.

 

Katie Bowman is the Economic Development Manager with the City of San Leandro.  In this position, she manages business attraction and retention programs, facilitates strategic development projects, and serves as a liaison between businesses and the City.  Katie has worked with the City of San Leandro since 2015.  Prior to then, she worked in economic development and planning in the Chicago area with the Village of Hanover Park and University of Illinois at Chicago.  Katie first began her career as a planner with the Town of Yountville, CA.
