PRESIDENT DR. HEIDI’S CLUB THEME FOR THE YEAR: "LIGHT UP ROTARY WITH A SMILE"
(Per our President, we will be Brush up on your Rotary knowledge, Fill a need in Community and International Service, Drill Down deep in your heart for Peace in the World and many more that your Scribe failed to record!)
ROTARY INTERNATIONAL’S THEME FOR THE YEAR: "LIGHT UP ROTARY" (Think Chinese Lantern as Incoming International President Gary Huang is Chinese from Taiwan)

President Dr. Heidi brought down the gavel for the third time of her Presidential Year at Don Jose’s in Castro Valley, and Bonnie Best was asked to lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance.
THOUGHT(s) FOR THE DAY - In honor of District Governor Ed Jellen’s visit to day, the following thought is offered from the father of Rotary, Paul Harris: “Whatever Rotary may mean to us to the world it will be known by the results it achieves.”
In honor of our President Dr. Heidi’s third meeting through Bruce Johnson: "Dentists, but not Dr. Heidi or Dr. Jerry, can be frustrating. You wait a month-and-a-half for an appointment, and they say, "I wish you'd come to me sooner."
SINGING WITH CETA - A sweet rendition (almost in harmony) of “God Bless America”
VISITORS - TL Bailey introduced our guests, including Ben Renner (friend of Ben Gurule), Art Liskowitz (friend of Dr. Heidi and former member of CV Breakfast Club), Ellyse Look (Past-President of the Rotaract Club of the East Bay), and John Barbieri (friend of Jim Negri and CVUSD Board Member more than twenty years).
