PROGRAM - Today was our Club Level Speech meet.  Participants were Sophomore Esther Smith from Caatro Valley High School and Seniors Ocean Cunah, Chelsea Martinez, Greg Lin from Redwood Christian High School.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - Bruce Johnson regarding Jim Negri, who has announced he is retiring as Superintendent of Castro Valley Unified School District June 30, 2015: “Reputation is made in a moment; Character is build in a lifetime. “ Jim exemplifies both . . . the entire Castro Valley Community is blessed to have him . . . and Al West shared the difference between Knowledge (knowing that Tomatoes are a fruit) and Wisdom (knowing NOT to include them in a fruit salad).

SAL TEDESCO MEMORIAL HELLO SONG - Bruce Johnson led us ... kind of . . . well, he had to make the decision whether to sing or direct as he can only do one thing at a time (like singing or clapping) . . . he chose to direct and the Club sounded great!

$xx    Dr. Heidi recognized Bruce Johnson for his leading the Hello Song without hindering it by singing himself
 
PROGRAM - Today was our Club Level Speech meet.  Participants were Sophomore Esther Smith from Caatro Valley High School and Seniors Ocean Cunah, Chelsea Martinez, Greg Lin from Redwood Christian High School. 
Speech Meet Chair Jeff Moore reviewed the rules, covered the theme “Light Up Rotary” and stated that each participant had to include at least one of the 4-Way Tests in their speech.  After the contest, Jeff recognized Carol Wikle as the Timer, TL Bailey, Virginia Degner and Margie Ramos as Judges, and Bob Shayler for compiling the scores to determine the winners.
Chelsea Martinez placed First, Esther Smith finished Second and Ocean Cunha finished Third.  Chelsea won $100, Esther won $50 and Ocean won $25.
Chelsea will move on to the Area Speech Meet on February 25 at the Englander in San Leandro.
 
LOOKING FOR THE MOLAR WITH THE GOLD GLITTER FILLING DONE “JUST FOR US” BY DR. HEIDI, Carol Wikle reached into the “Sack Full of Teeth” and pulled out a healthy tooth winning $5 and NOT pulling a Ray Wallace!
