PROGRAM - Bill Nott introduced Livermore Rotarian Patrick Coyle speaking on “Engineers Without Borders USA and Composting Toilets Overview & Nicaragua Project.”  A tremendous program that summarized the goals of Engineers Without Borders (our Bill Nott is active!) and Sanitation Challenges and Possible Alternatives in various countries.
 
President Dr. Heidi brought down the gavel at Don Jose’s in Castro Valley, and Walt Schneider was asked to lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - Bruce Johnson shared “I like people who smile when it’s raining.”
SINGING WITH(out) CETA - Cliff Sherwood volunteered Dwight Perry and Walt Schneider joined in to lead us in a rousing rendition of “God Bless America!”

DECEMBER 6 - Club Christmas Party by Kern Lewis - 6:00 P.M.  Price $30.  AT DR. HEIDI'S HOUSE!!!!  Be sure to let her know if you are coming because she said today was the last day but we all know that Dr. Heidi would never turn away a fellow CV Rotarian!
DECEMBER 9 - Children’s Christmas Party - CVUSD Adult School - Mark Poniatowski, Chair - we are preparing for up to 80 children plus parents . . . Ceta Dochterman is handling the presents (RCHS InterAct will help with the wrapping), Jeff Moore and his team are handling set-up, Cliff Sherwood and his team are handling the cooking, Randy Vanderbilt will be cooking more than one turkey, program will include balloon animals, face painting, coloring and some games . . . Santa scheduled for 5 P.M.  We need a great turnout of CV Rotarians.

PROGRAM - Bill Nott, December Program Chair, introduced Livermore Rotarian Patrick Coyle speaking on “Engineers Without Borders USA and Composting Toilets Overview & Nicaragua Project.”  A tremendous program that summarized the goals of Engineers Without Borders (our Bill Nott is active!) and Sanitation Challenges and Possible Alternatives in various countries.  The program was great and the creativeness of the people working on the challenge of sanitary issues around the world.  Great slide show and tremendous presentation skills . . . thanks, Patrick!
At the end of the program, Bill Nott challenged the Club stating he would match up to $200 if we contributed . . . Jim Negri started it off with $50 followed by many . . . well over $200 . . . then Dr. Heidi contributed $200 from her President’s Fund to support programs like this one . . . Patrick Coyle left our meeting with a huge grin on his face!
LOOKING FOR THE MOLAR WITH THE GOLD GLITTER FILLING DONE “JUST FOR US” BY DR. HEIDI, Program Speaker Patrick Coyle reached into the ticket container and pulled out his own ticket . . . with 12 teeth and $53, he pulled out an unhealthy tooth and contributed $20 to CV Rotary.
