The speaker will be Paul M. McCreary, General Manager of the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District (HARD), which serves over 275,000 residents. He came to HARD with 25 years of experience in local government, having worked for the cities of Dublin, Pleasanton, and Walnut Creek, respectively.
As the Parks and Community Services Director in Dublin, he gained in-depth experience with parks, recreation, heritage and cultural arts. This included developing the city's new park system. In addition, he has extensive experience in cross governmental agencies and programs.
His Master's degree in Public Administration is from the University of San Francisco.
