PROGRAM
President Bernie
introduced Bonnie Best from District 5170 (and the morning
Rotary Club in town) to lead us through some very important
information concerning District 5170's Youth Protection Policy
and Handbook.
The
program was very informative and no one who hears Bonnie can
ever say that they were not properly taught. The one-hour
training is required of all Rotarians with higher degree of
training and verification of personal history and lack of
criminal past needed to work at higher levels with our
students.
All
members who were not present today will be required to make-up
the missed training as it is a “one time” affair and does not
require an annual renewal. Clearance by others (school
districts, etc.) are not valid and the Rotary training and
screening must be completed by Rotary-certified individuals.
Please contact Leslie Rothwell for more information about this
program as she is our Youth Services Director.
SEARCH FOR THE CORRECT MARBLE
Bonnie Best reached into the marble sack and pulled out Leslie Rothwell’s name (for the second week in a row!) and with $286 at stake and 2 marbles in the sack . . . . reached into it and . . . won . . . $286.00 . . . Congratulations to a most deserving winner!
