OPENING
President Bernie Kempen opened the meeting and asked Dick Short to lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance and John Aufdermauer led us in the Four-Way Test followed by Bruce Johnson with prayer expressing being thankful for each other and praying for our armed services personnel and our President and Commander-in-Chief.

As we Rotarians of District 5170 continue to navigate and Lead the Way tp Peace and Harmony in the World. writer Hunter S. Thompson who reminds us: "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming.. WOW - What a Ride!"

President Bernie shared that world-wide there are 1.25M deaths every day due to traffic accidents and over 50M people are injured . . .
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Dwight Perry announced that our own Kim Murdock received a wonderful award at the District 5170 Conference last weekend. She was awarded the Neil Hoffman Service Award! Neal was the District Governor in 1998-99 and was known for his service to others. He was killed in a flying accident and District 5170 selects one recipient each year for recognition . . . for District Rotarians under the age of 45! Congratulations, Kim!
Board of Directors for 2007-08: Joining our board next year are Dave Fleeser, Randy Vanderbilt, Sue Whalen and Mark Wodyka!
Brandan and Russell from the CVHS Golf Team invited our Club to participate on June 29 at Willow Park for $100 per person . . . includes range balls, gold cart, 18 holes of golf, raffle tickets and a wonderful flat iron steak dinner! Contact Coach Ed Blum at 537-5910, ext 3756.
Beth Morre announced that husband Jeff and she are the Co-chairs for the Eden Medical Center Foundation’s Star Struck XII, the major fund raiser for Eden Medical Center scheduled for April May 19 at the Hilton Hotel in San Francisco.
