VISITING ROTARIANS AND GUESTS

HELLO SONG
The Hello Song was led magnificently by the
all-time great Sal Tedesco!
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
From KJ: “Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes; so when you criticize them, you will not only be a mile away from them, but you will also have their shoes!”
AFRICAN FACTOID(S) FOR THE DAY FROM OUR PRESIDENT
The Late Great Roman (23-79 A.D) officer and encyclopedist, author of the Natural history., Pliny the Elder Opined’ “There is always something new out of Africa or in Latin….Ex. Africa semper aliquid novi.
President Bernie was not here today so we did not have an African Factoid, but we did get a glimpse into President-to-be Dick’s mind as he told a wonderful story about his rescuing a little duckling that lay dieing near his carport who he immersed into warm water and revived. It was a really cute story . . . and then he hit us with his “rest of the story” which was that “as Rotarians, we have the opportunity to assist the weak and those without hope.” Great message . . . Great reminder.

Leslie spent the remainder of the program

forty-plus page booklet packed with great information for parents
regarding the sensitive areas of alcohol and drug use and sexual
activity of teens. The publication was the result of the Castro
Valley Unified School District and Castro Valley Community Action

Leslie did a great job . . . if you would like
a copy of this publication, please ask for one from Leslie or Bruce
as we have some stored a few in our container at Willow Park.
