Jennifer from the Castro Valley Boosters Club made a fundraiseing announcement.  They are trying to buy new Gym Equipment for the new weight room at Castro Valley High School.

 

Introduction of guests by Ken O'Donnell.  Sal Tedesco did the hello song.  Bernie did a new out of Africia fact.  (See Bernie)

 

Next week lifescan will be here to speak as well as get the necessary paperwork done for the people who still need to get their lifescan done. 

 

District golf tournment is at Castlewood Country Club.  All procedes go to RYLA. 

 

Confessions

Jeff Moore mentored a youth and help ed him get through the college maze.  His memtors father Robert Vonadelo donated $25 to Rotary for his help.  Ellie started Pre-School today.  Also did a collection for missing pins and bbadges.

 

Spekers were Cheryl Johnson ateacher from Palomares School and Melody Stemick  Cmelak Principal of Palomares School.  They spoke about the watershed project at the school.  The school consists of a 4000 square foot creek and a large hill.  The site eventualy will be a hands on learning science facility.  The intent is that this facility can be used by the whole district as well as the East Bay.  Alameda County Clean Water Program and Alameda Resource Conservation District came to help us develope this site as a demonstartion site and an education outreach site.  Palomares is one out of 296 schools that won a national blue ribbon award.  The school opulation has doubled in size.
